چکیده

باژگونگی امور عالمْ اصلی است که مبنای بسیاری از قصّه‌ها و اندیشه‌های مثنوی بر آن گذاشته ‌شده ‌است و بررسی آن می‌تواند یکی از مهم‌ترین عوامل جذابیّت این اثر را تبیین کند. بر این اساس، در این مقاله نخست گونه‌هایی از باژگونگی معرّفی می‌شود؛ مواردی مانند: ترجیح مرگ بر زندگی، دیوانگی بر خردمندی، بلاهت بر هوشیاری، غلامان بر سروران، قهر بر لطف،مطلوبِ نزدیک بر دور، مدارا بر انتقام،نفی بر اثبات و... . سپس به دلایل وجود باژگونگی در عالم پرداخته ‌می‌شود؛ دلایلی مثل باژگونگی قواعد بارگاه الهی، باژگونگی ظاهر و باطن، تقدیر، نزدیکی مطلوبی که تصوّر دوری‌اش می‌رود و اندیشۀ بنیادی مرگ و فنا. موانع درک این قاعدۀ شگفتْ دنیا و هرچیزی است که رنگ هستی دارد. بندِ نگهدارندۀ هستی نیز عقل و محصولات آن است که باید از سرِ راه برداشته شود. این مضامین در قصّه‌های گوناگونی تبیین می‌شود و هدف مولانا از طرح آن‌ها، رسیدن به اصل مهم و دشوارِ فهم فناست؛ زیرا از نظر او همان‌طور که حقیقتِ بسیاری از امور عالمْ خلاف ظاهر است، هستی نیز برخلاف آنچه تصوّر می‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌‌شود، در نیستی پنهان است؛ اما لازمۀ شناختش درک لعبِ باژگونه و اشاره‌های معکوس عشق است.

The ‘reversal of values,’ as an appealing features, is considered as one of the basis for many stories and ideas in Mathnawī of Rūmī. This article, firstly, introduces some instances of value reversal such as the preference of death to life, madness to wisdom, servant to lord and anger to kindness. The second part discusses the reasons behind these preferences which, among others, include the reversal of God’s laws- as opposed to those of humans-, the interior and the exterior, and the basic views of death and annihilation. According to Rūmī, what hinders our understanding of these reversals is ‘existence.’ Existence is comprehended through reason. Therefore, to perceive the reversals one should ignore reason. Rūmī’s thoughts indicate the contrast between truth and appearance. Thus, for instance, existence is concealed in non-existence. This peculiar notion could be perceived only by grasping the reversing play of love.
