An enormous part of the classical Persian literature consists of the works of prominent mystic and Sufi authors. A deeper knowledge of their works will undoubtedly add to cultural enrichment and will contribute to the development and dissemination of Persian language and literature.

The Quarterly Journal of Mystical Literature started with the aim of publishing scientific articles on topics related to the criticism of mystical poetry and prose. Over the years, efforts have been made to make it a space for the publication of researches on the works of prominent mystics and Sufis and other authors with mystical tendencies. Articles concerning subjects as far as mystical manuscripts and works based on new theories of literary criticism can be included in this journal.

We hope that by our attempt at expanding research and encouraging studies on mystics and Sufis, we can contribute to the enrichment of a valuable part of Islamic and Iranian culture all over the world.
