Abstract

Although attention to environmental issues and animals is usually considered one of the late human concerns, it should be known that the issue of "animal" and its existential dignity is one of the long-standing topics in Islamic wisdom and Sufism.
In explaining the verses of Surah Safat about Abraham's dream and the Ransom of his son, Ibn Arabi raises the question of what high-ranking position does the sacrificial animal have that can replace the Prophet's son? Sheikh Akbar considers the examination of this question dependent on the examination of the subject of Hazrat Khayal because he believes that these events took place in the world of Khayal and Prophet Ibrahim could not interpret this important dream. It is true that the point of gravity of Sheikh's topic is in Ishaq's chapter of Fusus, Ibn Arabi paid special attention to the existential dignity of animals. His different view of the animal is a thought-provoking view, not only in relation to many of his contemporaries, but also in relation to contemporary human life. Narratives have been noted in this essay in which Ibn Arabi has expressed different thoughts about the status of animals, in a way that in different situations, animals such as camels, cats and zebras are in a higher position than humans and sometimes some mystics.
According to Ibn Arabi, animals have a special place with God. According to him, animals are equipped with both external and internal perception; And unlike humans, animals' knowledge of God is natural knowledge.
