Abstract
according to many mystics, samā is considered one of the fundamental elements of the mystical path. This concept has various subjects such as singing, good voice, melody, music and instruments, dancing, tearing garments, etc. It has played an essential role in constructing the identity of mystics and their mystical school. Furthermore, Mystical experiences during which the mystic finds herself in connection with the Sanctity world and obtains a direct experience have also been a vital element and sometimes the ultimate goal of the mystical path. Understanding the relationship between these two issues, in addition to the fact that it can reveal the reason for the importance of samā according to mystics is a new approach to the various types of mystical experiences among Sufis. In this article, after collecting data from prose texts, we have categorized this relationship into three cases. First, Sama is sometimes considered a trigger for spiritual experiences. Also, There are definitions or characteristics of samā that seem to be considered a kind of mystical experience for distraught mystics. Finally, sometimes it is considered as the result or consequence of mystical experiences. In fact, after gaining mystical experiences, some events such as dancing and tearing garments have occurred. These relationships have been neglected in mystical research, From these three points of view, the reports, words, and opinions of mystics have been researched in mystical Persian prose texts.
