Abstract

Dignity is one of the most important phenomena in Sufi texts. One of the types of dignity based on taking possession of souls is transference, which is the exact opposite of healing. In this article, an attempt has been made to investigate the issue of evil transmission, and its motivations and types in mystical anecdotes by relying on the most important mystical texts based on library studies and descriptive-analytical method, and of course adapting to myths. According to the findings of the research, in such stories, the owner of dignity causes evil (death or disease) to a healthy person with different purposes and intentions through spiritual power. The motivations and purposes of the transmission of evil are to heal the heart of the sheikh, to prove the spiritual power of the sheikh, to obey the disciples, to ward off evil and oppression from the people, to punish and guide the unbelievers, to defend oneself (in a situation of sin or an unfavorable situation) and to destroy. In addition to the motivation. The transmission of evil can be classified from two points of view: first, from the point of view of being permanent (death) or temporary (disease), second, from the point of view of direct (conscious) and indirect (unconscious) transmission of evil.
